What You'll Do

  • Collaborate on design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical and robotic systems.
  • Analyze and improve production processes for efficiency and quality (Industrial focus).
  • Work with cross-disciplinary teams to identify innovative solutions for engineering challenges.
  • Assist in developing technical documentation, including schematics and workflow processes.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to support research and development efforts.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to project decision-making.

Must Have

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Industrial, Mechanical, Robotics Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following tools: CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), MATLAB, Python, or other engineering/analysis tools.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively (verbal and written).
  • Passion for innovation and eagerness to learn.
  • Hands-on experience through coursework, labs, or prior internships/projects.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, or control systems.
  • Familiarity with programming languages for robotics (e.g., ROS, C++, or Python).
  • Exposure to data analysis tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Simulink).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. 
  • Team leadership experience in academic or extracurricular projects.

Industrial Engineering Intern

Must-Haves:

  • Coursework or experience in process optimization or lean manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) or simulation software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing data using Excel, Minitab, or similar tools.

Mechanical Engineering Intern

Must-Haves:

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Basic understanding of material properties and selection.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) or structural testing.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping or machining tools.

Robotics Engineering Intern

Must-Haves:

  • Knowledge of robotic systems and basic programming (e.g., Python, ROS).
  • Familiarity with kinematics, dynamics, and control systems.
  • Strong interest in automation or robotics applications.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, or microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
  • Experience integrating hardware and software components.
