DevOps & Internal Systems Engineer

From CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling to Odoo, IT systems, and internal dashboards, you'll own the platforms our team depends on every day. Your work will enable engineers to ship faster, improve operational efficiency across the company, and ensure our internal systems evolve alongside our rapid growth.


This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving infrastructure challenges, automating repetitive work, and building reliable internal tools. You'll work across software, IT, and business systems, becoming the go-to person for the technology that powers Haply behind the scenes. 

Location : In Montreal - Full time

Compensation : $70,000 - $95,000 with Benefits

What You'll Do

  • Own and improve our GitLab CI/CD pipelines, runners, environments, and release workflows.
  • Build and maintain internal dashboards that connect engineering, operations, and business data.
  • Develop integrations between Odoo and other internal systems using modern APIs and automation.
  • Maintain and extend our Odoo ERP platform, including custom modules, workflows, and automations.
  • Improve developer productivity through better tooling, automation, and internal infrastructure.
  • Manage Google Workspace, identity, access control, and employee onboarding/offboarding.
  • Support office IT, networking, and internal hardware infrastructure.
  • Ensure data quality across Odoo, GitLab, PostHog, and other business systems.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve reliability and performance.

Who You Are

  • 2–5+ years of experience in DevOps, internal tooling, IT systems, or Odoo administration.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar platforms.
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with experience maintaining internal applications or automation.
  • Experience administering Odoo or similar ERP/business management platforms.
  • Comfortable working with APIs, integrations, and automation workflows.
  • Strong understanding of Git and collaborative software development practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • A service-oriented mindset with a passion for building tools that help others succeed.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Python for automation or backend integrations.
  • Experience with Next.js, Node.js, or internal web application development.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace administration, OAuth, or SSO.
  • Knowledge of networking, DNS, VPNs, or office IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with observability tools such as PostHog or Grafana.
  • Experience integrating systems using REST, XML-RPC, or JSON-RPC APIs.
  • Interest in robotics, hardware, or Physical AI.
