Quality Control Engineer

Montréal, Canada

Haply Robotics designs and manufactures high-performance robotic haptic controllers that deliver precise, realistic force feedback. We are looking for our first dedicated Quality Engineer to architect our quality systems from the ground up.

This is not a "check the box" role. You will bridge the gap between R&D and Production, ensuring our complex mechatronic systems meet premium standards while building the scalable processes that will define our manufacturing future.

Why Haply?

You will be the architect of quality for a company at the forefront of human-machine interaction. As we grow, you will have the opportunity to build and lead the quality team underneath you. If you are a systems-minded engineer who isn't afraid to get your hands on the hardware, we want to hear from you.

     Hands-on Validation (50%)

  • Technical Inspection: Perform hands-on quality inspections of high-complexity robotic controllers (PCBs, mechanical assemblies, and external finishes)
  • Final Gatekeeper: Own the final packaging and kitting processes to ensure every unit is pristine and correctly configured prior to shipment
  • Iterate: Improve inspection repeatability and reliability as our production volume scales

Must Have

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automated Production Engineering
  • Hardware Experience: 3+ years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within commercial hardware, robotics, or medical devices
  • Systems Thinking: Proven experience with statistical sampling plans (AQL/ANSI ASQ Z1.4) and building QC processes from scratch
  • Technical Communication: Ability to "talk the talk" with R&D engineers and translate complex requirements into repeatable production tests

  • Bilingualism: Functional proficiency in both French and English

Nice to have

  • Certification: Six Sigma Green Belt or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

  • No dumb managers, no stupid tools to use, no rigid working hours
  • No waste of time in enterprise processes, real responsibilities and autonomy
  • Expand your knowledge of various business industries
  • Create content that will help our users on a daily basis
  • Real responsibilities and challenges in a fast evolving company
